Hearthstone Video - The Dominant Player Bug (Shadow Madness+Power Overwhelming and more) [Hearthstone Science]

The Dominant Player Bug: When triggers from both players simultaneously Queue on an Event, the Dominant Player's triggers go in order of play before the Secondary Player's in order of play. In addition, they go not in one Queue but two separate Queues, the first resolving before the second is populated.

Who is the Dominant Player? If you have logging turned on, the player with PLAYER_ID assigned to 1 at the start of the game is the Dominant Player. If you aren't logging, the only other way to find out is to discover it in-game.

In this video, we define the necessary terminology to understand, then explore all the consequences of the Dominant Player Bug, including a surprising explanation to a multiple year old Bug no one understood...

[Hearthstone Science] Make a Twilight Drake 4/20 with its Battlecry

Making a 4/20 Twilight Drake during its Battlecry

First, we made Twilight Drake 4/11 with its Battlecry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKf8W...

But it was not good enough. Finally, we have discovered a way to go further. We know that Battlecries and Spells work even if their target is sent to the Graveyard due to death before the actual effect occurs, but now we also know that this is true of minions sent to the hand.
Using Illidan Stormrage and Anub'ar Ambusher, the Twilight Drake goes back into the hand before the Battlecry Phase, and retains its enchantment even when played again, becoming in total a 4/20 minion just from being played (twice).

[Hearthstone Science] Stealing Battlecries

[Hearthstone Science] Stealing Battlecries (feat. Lord Jaraxxus, Eredar Lord of the Burning Legion)

When you play a minion, first it enters play and becomes interactible, then the 'On Play Phase' resolves, then the 'Battlecry Phase' resolves (among other Phases). In addition, between Phases, we run death processing and insert Death Phases. until no new deaths are found. This allows Battlecries to be triggered for the NEW owner, rather than the original player, using Illidan Stormrage+Knife Juggler to damage an enemy Sylvanas Windrunner.
